SuperBLOK™ DNA, MBI’s proprietary version of Cot-1* Placental Human DNA, developed to meet the growing demand for a reliable and cost-effective source of Blocking DNA.
With almost 2 decades of experience and a robust manufacturing process, SuperBLOK™ DNA is optimized as a blocking agent in hybridization experiments, such as microarrays and in situ hybridization.
SuperBLOK™ DNA is the Cot-1 fraction derived from the total genomic DNA extracted from male birth human placenta. It is manufactured by melting, sizing, reannealing, in a controlled process that enriches the fraction of highly repetitive sequences. The DNA is designed reduce non-specific binding of probes to the repetitive DNA elements in hybridization applications.
